A watchmaker apprentice inspired him to pursue timepieces after receiving a special watch at 13. He shifted from a jewelry factory to creating his own designs, building a loyal clientele. In 1986, he launched Jacob & Co., focusing on jewelry before returning to watchmaking. After overcoming setbacks in Switzerland, he created the groundbreaking Five Timezone watch and the Quenttin, establishing his reputation for unique, luxurious pieces.
